DJ PROUD's Story

DJ PROUD first burst onto the DJ scene in his home country of Jamaica in 2006, where he did a three year residency between two radio stations while attending college.

He released mixes and developed a sound that draws from a plethora of genres, pushing his musical boundaries and knowledge to new limits.

He then migrated and settled in his now home of Philadelphia, where he has continued to push and promote his tropical sound, finding ways of blending the sound of the Americas with the Caribbean, while collaborating with a lot of his peers and some of the city's best performers. DJ PROUD is a technically skilled turntablist, blowing away convention with his open format DJ style while ushering in a new wave of modern music.
